I’ve planned this for a long time now but until recently I have never been able to get the timings right for the sunrise around Roker’s Lighthouse. I managed to get these pictures this morning after I purchased the PhotoPills app for my iPhone/iPad the app I’ll discuss later in another post when I have more time to learn about its functions and abilities.
Learning the time for the sunrise along with the ideal place to get the picture I wanted a short amble past the day earlier allowed me to learn that the ideal place was not available to shoot from. I made do with as close as I could get and along with my monopod and my Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD lens. I didn’t take my Tripod mainly as I wasn’t sure if I would get to see the sunrise over the lighthouse. I will be getting out again to take more pictures of the morning sun.
